Cookie Policy
Our cookie policy and how we use them
Effective date: October 23, 2026
1. What this Policy covers
This Cookie Policy describes cookies, browser local storage, and related web technologies used by Next Layer Sports. It primarily concerns the website; separate native iPhone device storage, Keychain credentials, and push-notification technologies are discussed in the Privacy Policy.
2. Essential session and operational storage
We use website cookies or equivalent browser storage as necessary for authentication, signed-in sessions, security, and access to authorized Organization data. The website may also keep your selected Organization context and interface state, such as whether a navigation panel is collapsed. The exact storage mechanism can vary by feature; not every preference is necessarily a cookie.
3. Preference storage
Cookies remember your language choice and your theme. Browser local storage also keeps your theme and the sign-in method you last used (not your email address) for up to 30 days; that record is not removed when you sign out. Blocking or clearing this storage resets these settings. The website does not currently save the last-used email address in local storage as previously stated in our Policy.
4. Realtime services
When signed in, the website may maintain an authenticated realtime connection for Team Chat and certain notifications. A session token may be transmitted to the service to validate authorized updates. When realtime notices are not available, parts of the interface may refresh at intervals or when revisited. These connections are not described as third-party advertising trackers.
5. Third-party services
Stripe provides hosted checkout, account onboarding and billing pages and may place its own functional or security cookies on those Stripe-hosted pages. NLS pages do not currently load Stripe scripts. Cloudflare Turnstile, when active on sign-in, sign-up and public forms, uses browser and network signals and may place cookies or similar technologies for security and abuse detection. Their behavior is governed by the applicable provider services and policies. The launch configuration does not use advertising, marketing, or behavioral analytics cookies as described in the product brief.
6. Controls and changes
Most browsers permit users to block or clear cookies and website data. Essential authentication or security functions may stop working when the relevant storage is disabled; disabling preference storage may simply reset the associated setting. This Policy may change if storage practices or service providers change. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
